Con Amore School

Con Amore School has been selected by the Department of Education to become a resource centre for the community.  This centre provides parents and family members of children with disabilities with resources aimed at stimulating their child’s development.

Toy Library and Early Intervention Centre

Play is an important part of a child’s development and helps in muscle development, concentration and perseverance, and, listening and language skills.  You, as the parent, can help your child to develop these skills by playing with them.

 

Our Toy Library is up and running and you are invited to take out membership so that you can make use of our wide range of quality, educational toys.  Our staff is ready to assist you in the selection and use of toys which will best benefit your child and help him/her to reach his/her potential. 

 

In order to join our Toy Library you will need to:

· pay an annual membership fee of R50 per family

· provide proof of residence

· produce your ID document

· make an appointment to come to the Library so that our staff can give you their full attention (Tel 011 393 5699).

 

We are open on Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 13h00 as well as the second Saturday of every month from 09h00 to 12h00.

 

Please tell your friends about the library, as this is a service to the whole community, particularly for families who have children with special needs.

Speel is ‘n belangrike deel van ‘n kind se ontwikkeling.  Dit help met spierontwikkeling, konsentrasie en deursettingsvermoë, asook die vermoë om te luister en taal te ontwikkel.  U, as ouer, kan u kind help om hierdie vaardighede te ontwikkel deur met hulle te speel.

 

Ons Speelgoed biblioteek is oop en u is uitgenooi om ‘n lid te word sodat u van ons verskeidenheid kwaliteit opvoedkundige speelgoed gebruik kan maak.  Ons personeel is gereed om u by te staan met die keuse en gebruik van speelgoed wat u kind die meeste sal bevoordeel en hom/haar sal help om sy/haar potensiaal te ontsluit.

 

 

Om as lid by ons Speelgoed biblioteek aan te sluit moet u:

· ‘n jaarlikse lidmaatskapfooi van R50 per gesin betaal

· bewys van vaste verblyf verskaf

· u ID dokument verskaf

· ‘n afspraak maak om biblioteek toe te kom sodat ons personeel hulle volle aandag aan u kan gee (Tel 011 393 5699).

Ons is oop op Maandae tot Vrydae vanaf 08h00 tot 13h00, asook die tweede Saterdag van elke maand vanaf 09h00 tot 12h00.

 

Omdat die biblioteek as ‘n diens aan die gemeenskap gelewer word, sal ons dit waardeer as u u vriende daarvan vertel, veral gesinne wat kinders met spesiale behoeftes het.
