Contract Work.

Contract Work is part of the Senior Phase.  The work is executed at school under supervision of the staff.  Contracts can be continuous or sporadic in nature.  The employer transports the work to the school, sets a date when the job should be finished and collects the products after completion, eg. Filling of envelopes, collating of books, pasting of stickers, etc.  To strengthen the funds at the school, contract work takes place at a minimal cost.

Contract Activities or Opportunities.

· Packaging of Christmas cards - production line

· Folding letters and placing it in envelopes

· Folding files

· Binding pamphlets

· Binding booklets and newsletters

· Folding cardboard boxes

· Packaging of nails, screws, nuts, bolts, washers etc.

· Cutting and pasting

· Any kind of sorting

· Marking & packing products for the annual Xmas

                 Market

SOME OF THE OTHER NEEDS THE SCHOOL HAS ARE:

· SPONSOR A LEARNER.  By paying an under-privileged learners school fees for one year, you are able to support a learner.  (See School Information).

· CASUAL DAY.  You can support Con Amore School by purchasing your Casual Day stickers directly from our school.  (See Events).

· SUPPORT OUR GOLF DAY.  This is one of our annual fundraising events not to be missed if you are a golfer.  (See Events).

· COME AND VISIT OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS MARKET.  We have a wonderful Christmas Market in November each year.  Please come and browse around.  There are lots of stalls with hand made gifts.  (See Events).

· SCHOOL BUSSES:  We always need financial support with the petrol and running costs of our school busses.  As our children come from a very widespread area in the East Rand, we are obliged to provide a bus service for which we receive no grant from the Government.  Currently we have 12 busses on the road transporting + 200 learners every day.  Maintenance, fuel and insurance  costs amounted to R1 260 128.82 in 2009.
