Fund Raising

Due to various economic conditions, less than half  of our learners could pay their full school fees last year. A light lunch is provided to learners as part of their education program and for many this is the only nutritious meal of the day.

We are obliged to provide a bus service because we have such a large feeder area. Due to the nature of our learner's disability, they cannot make use of public transport. We have 12 busses providing transport to our learners. We charge a nominal fee for transport however some learners cannot make any contribution towards their bus fees. Denying a learner transport, denies that learner of education, and any chance in improvement in their life. To enable most learners to afford bus fees, the fees are set at between R270.00 and R315.00 per month.

Our staff are actively involved to raise funds by holding an Annual Christmas Market, participation in Casual Day, fun days, special events, golf days, collection tins, etc. In the light of the above we take the liberty of approaching you to sponsor a learner and would welcome a visit from you to ascertain yourself of the lovely work our severely intellectually disabled learners are capable of.

Christmas Market

Our Christmas Market is annually our biggest fundraising project.  There is a food tent with delicious foods on sale outside.  There is a wide selection of hand made and craft items on sale—so come along and enjoy some early Christmas shopping.  Entrance fee is R5.00 per person.
